This book concentrates primarily on giving the reader a list of typical shapes of the various mecha body parts. I was rather disapointed to find very little guidance in how to put them togeather effectively, but as this was covered in detail in the Mecha Drawing book, the examples here make a superb accompanyment.

This book is an excellent source on how to draw manga robots, and it also helps you to make your own, HOWEVER, if you are a begginner in Manga drawing, I advise buying How To Draw Manga vol. 1 and working your way up, this book is fairly complex, and a begginner will probably not understand, or be able to draw quite afew of the images and proceedures.

This book focuses on the japanese style of robot design and drawing. It is made up of 3 sections -1.Basic Robot Design - overall robot design with comparisons to humans. 2.Combat Robots - learn how to draw robots of war and weapons. 3.Female Robots - This section is dedicated to the beautiful, feminine robots. I think this book is good as it has great illustrations provided by "Go Office" (very good manga drawers)
