I made the mistake of ordering another book by Fiona Shoop at the same time: Starting and Running an Antiques Business: An Insider Guide (Small Business Start-ups) and was dismayed to discover that they were exactly the same book inside, despite the different titles and covers. The book is extensive and complete but I felt talked down to throughout. For example, it's nice to be reminded that having a mobile phone is an essential tool for an antique dealer but do I need to be told here to pull off the road if the phone rings while I'm driving?
