Double Dealing 24 May 2010
Format:Paperback
I made the mistake of ordering another book by Fiona Shoop at the same time: Starting and Running an Antiques Business: An Insider Guide (Small Business Start-ups) and was dismayed to discover that they were exactly the same book inside, despite the different titles and covers. The book is extensive and complete but I felt talked down to throughout. For example, it's nice to be reminded that having a mobile phone is an essential tool for an antique dealer but do I need to be told here to pull off the road if the phone rings while I'm driving?

Very Basic 21 April 2011
By GW
Format:Paperback
If you need to be told that you can save money by taking your own sandwiches to antique fairs then you probably shouldnt be considering starting any business, let alone one as difficult as trading in antiques!
Very basic information. Would suggest that you look out for a generic book on how to start a small business, as well as more detailed books on the specific antiques you are interested in.
