Product Description

Synopsis
Well, what could be worse than having a pregnant mother (by Melvyn) like Laura? And they're not even married! Perhaps having a wannabe chef as a father and a mini-skirt clad mother who writes about you in the local paper, like Chelsea? What about Jemma's parents, who tell her she's too young to have a boyfriend - in front of her boyfriend? Or Sumitha's, who tell her boyfriend how suitable he is? And then there's Jon's mother, who seems to be getting on just a bit too well with a fellow interior design student...

2.0 out of 5 stars Hmm... The story is okay... you could do better, Rosie!, 16 Nov 2001

The story is fine... but you can tell right away what's going to happen because the author leaves too many indications... it's not very original. Also, Rosie repeats with different characters the same scenes... All in all, I read because it was the sequel to "Don't make a scene, mum". That's why I recommend it. Because it is the sequel of a fantastic book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well written, clever, 9 Sep 2001
By A Customer
I chose this book because I'd read others by Rosie Rushton. The book really goes deep into the characters minds and expresses their emotions in such a way that you feel like you are that person, crying or laughing as they struggle through growing up. The book is long enough to satisfy you but short enough to keep you in suspense to read the other books. Sometimes, you feel like crying, but then you want to laugh as they have good news or do something funny. This is what makes Rosie Rushton so good. I would recomend this book.
