Book Description

A compelling and shocking true story of one woman's battle to stand up against the men who destroyed her childhood and the mother who committed the gravest betrayal of all...

Product Description

At just five years old, Dana learned that there was no one she could trust. Most devastating of all, even her own mother betrayed her and in the most unimaginable way. For years, Dana and her younger sister suffered at the hands of one of Britain's largest ever-known paedophile rings. And their mother did nothing to protect them.

Only now is Dana's nightmare coming to an end as she crusades to put her abusers behind bars. In June 2007 the truth was finally exposed. Dana bravely testified against her own mother. The woman who had subjected Dana and her sister to a lifetime of horror was sentenced to twelve years in prison. It was one of the most traumatic ordeals Dana has ever experienced. But a shocked world was finally forced to open its eyes to what happened to Dana. This is her story of survival.

I caught the tail end of Danas interview on This Morning and was curious as to what had happened to her as I just heard the presenters saying how terrible her life had been. I tried to get this book last week and it was sold out, my mum found it and bought it for me.
She started to read it that evening and read the whole book in one night, she got a few pages in and thought she couldnt read on, but actually couldnt put it down.
She told me it was the most horrendous book she had ever read and that she wanted to burn it, not because of the book, but because what this poor lady and her sister went through, it explains what we all know happens, but actually seeing it in print, how can anybody let alone her mother put them through such horrendous torture, how can they gain pleasure the sickos.
I have a young daughter and having heard a detailed description from my mum I cant yet bring myself to read it. Yet just knowing what I know about the book it makes me so angry, I dont recommend it for the faint hearted.
I hope Dana is now happy, she is amazing to still be alive and I commend her for putting this to print for people to read and learn.

i too heard about danas story on this morning, and bought the book last weekend and i read it in one day something which i rarely do. I can't describe what makes this book bareable to read, i felt so many emotions when i read about dana and her sister. The way she is able to write and tell her story is brave enough but what she has came through, and hasnt turned to drink, drugs or worse absolutely amazes me. those beasts and thats what all of the disgusting and perveted gang that raped and attacked dana and heather are deserve every bit of whats coming to them now and in prison. i am a young mother myself and i cannot comprend what made her mother tick by doing what she and her paedo boyfriends did to Dana. i truly hope one day the government see sense and allow us the death penalty 4 these vile animals and give them no rights to let us know where they live. this book will make you gripped to her story and be grateful of what day to day normal families we have.

Dana lived just up the road from me so I knew all about this terrible life she had when it was in court and all over the papers. It was such an awful horrific life for both her and sister not only at the hands of those responsible but also the part her mother played. I had to buy the book to find out what happened to her after and so glad that she has found happiness with her partner. I hope this book helps someone else speak up.
