Are you looking for a cd that has it all? Then look no further. The incomparable Peddlers, "How Cool is Cool" is way cool. There are cuts on this awesome cd to satify the epicurian in every jazz enthusiast' taste. The Peddlers deserve to share the spotlight with timeless jazz artists such as John Coltrane and Charlie Parker, with their renditions of jazz standards such as "The Prime of my Life" and the Streisand hit song "People". Lose yourself in the haunting and beautiful "Lost Continent." This tune is the score from a 60's horror flick that boasts the same name. You'll never be same after listening to "A Boy in Love." One of my favorites is "Nobody Likes Me." My brother owned an album titled "Three in a Cell", by the Peddlers and believe it or not, as a 7-year old, I fell in love with the catchy tunes and raw melodic beat. It's nothing like I've ever heard before. I was ecstatic to learn that it is now on CD. Pick up your copy today..Buy one for a friend.
I saw the Peddlers back in the seventies. What a fabulous sound !!!!. A band with real talent. A sound that will never age. At last I,ve found them on CD, and the memories came flooding back. Oh what bliss !!!!.
My dad saw these play in the 60s in Blackburn Lancashire, and he said they brought the house down! Years later he saw Freewheelin in a 2nd hand shop and bought it. We grew up listening to this, and ive always liked it. I just had to buy this when i saw it had come out on CD, long overdue! Great songs, classy, jazzy and masterful these guys are all superb musicians, ahead of their time in some respects to their sound. This truly IS cooler than cool!
