5.0 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed this book! Short, all necessary photos... 29 Jun. 2013

I'm about a moderate techie, but ONLY with plug-and-chug stuff and software stuff. I've never been inside a case, so I don't know anything about it. This book fixes that, showing pictures of computer guts and even outside stuff like ports and plugs. It is even complete enough to include outdated things like a modem port. If you have this sort of deficit in your experience, you may well find this book extremely useful.

This is a brief description of what everyone's favorite computer looks like on the inside. From Macs to PCs most of them act and work the same way. This book explains each component and how it functions to make our life as simple as possible.

I learned a few things here, but, for the most part, I already knew it. I do appreciate the fact that it was written to easily understand.

I read it on my lunch break. It took me less than 10 minutes. The book is simple, but way too simple. It could have been better if it showed in more detail how the parts were connected. I could easily fit the entire contents of the book in this review.
