This book is obviously a rehash of the other How to Cheat in Photoshop books which sometimes does not quite work, as PS CC has some minor changes to the way it works compared to other versions. I am steadily working my way through the book and it is good to have the reference files on the website and movies to view. Steve Caplin has obviously been at it a number of years and has learnt just about everything there is to know about tweaking images in Photoshop to create a montage. I found this a book to keep dipping into and a good resource on how to achieve a particular image, or which technique to actually use for an effect. You can spend hours playing and hopefully this time will shorten as my knowledge increases. The website also has a good forum and Friday challenge which looks worthwhile to test skills, which I hope to have a go at. Already I have managed to move a lizards tail using puppet warp and give a good shadow to make it realistic and better composition, using techniques from the book. Worth the asking price if you are into PS CC.

Kindle version is extremely frustrating 28 Feb. 2015
By FJS - Published on Amazon.com

I'm changing my original 2 star review below to 4 stars. While I'm still very frustrated because the control characters are too small to read on a kindle, the material is too good for me to discourage people from reading this book. The material is excellent and I've learned a lot just from the text. Once you've outgrown the beginners Photoshop books this is a great book on more advanced techniques.

Old Review:

I'm really frustrated with the kindle version of this book. They symbols he uses for the control, alt, and shift keys are way too small to make out. If I ever get over being mad, I'll probably buy the paper version of the book. The content seems to be that good. Too bad it's not usable in this form

Latest in the series of "How to Cheat..." and it is still great. If you learn by example you will love this. Remember the sample problems at the end of the chapters in school? This is it for Photoshop CC.

Overall a good way to learn a wide variety of Photoshop features. It's kind of cartoonish and a little bland.
