Review

If you love yourself some Cullen, you NEED this book.If we're honest, there's nothing we like better than idling our days away imagining a new version of <Twilight> - one where Edward Cullen sees the light, drops that annoying Bella girl, and flies off into the night with us, only stopping briefly to vampire us up en route. SO when we heard about ace new book 'How to Catch and Keep a Vampire: A Step-by-Step Guide' (Sellers, £9.99) we were VERY excited.
Out next month (23rd October to be precise), the book has all manner of useful info on why vampires are so attractive, how come normal people fall for these sinister beings and most importantly, how a mortal-vampire relationship can be achieved and conducted successfully. Which is going to make our <New Twilight> fantasies work out EVEN better.
--Sugarscape, October 19, 2009

Did you want to date a vampire? In this book, Diana will explain how you can woo him, win him and forge the relationship you always dreamed of. Diana will seek to explain the attraction we have of vampires. Why we long to bond with them. Why we seek love from some sexy hot vampire. Diana has a great knowledge of the vampire culture and if you want to understand the look deep into my eyes stigma of vampires, well then you need not look any longer, just pick up this book.

Can a woman take away the predatory ambitions of a vampire? Can a woman tame a vampire? Again, learn it here, Diana gets into details and you will know if you are able to tame or not tame a vampire. Would you believe there are decent vampires and evil vampires? In this book you will learn about Dr. Steven Grey, well respected professor, serial killer and later vampire.

A very intriguing story indeed. You get a fantastic Q&A session about the mythos of vampires. Learn the facts and become the ultimate vampire scholar with this book! How to Catch and Keep a Vampire is a brilliant take on the vampire mythos. This is a book that would make Anne Rice blink. Yep! Genre-bending with outstanding affects! --Jazmaonline

Product Description

Who needs a book on dating a vampire? Well, Bella Swan and Sookie Stackhouse to name just two. They are fortunate to have vampire boyfriends. But what the heroines of Twilight and True Blood don't have and could use is some advice on getting along with them.

Everything they and every other red-blooded girl (and guy) wants to know about finding a dreamy blood-drinker and keeping him is within How to Catch and Keep a Vampire: A Step-by-Step Guide to Loving The Bad and the Beautiful. Discover the Secret of the Red Satin Ribbon . . . author Diana Laurence explores the romantic fascination we mortals have for the undead.

Why do perfectly normal people fall for such sinister beings? And more importantly, what should we do about it when we do? Diana Laurence knows. With loads of personal experience to draw upon, Laurence does everything from explaining the attraction to blood-drinkers, to sharing what red satin signifies to them.

In this book, she has created a road map to show readers how a vampire relationship can be achieved and conducted in harmony with everyday existence. And who better to introduce mortal readers to the world of dating a 21st century vampire than a few mouth-watering immortals?

The cast includes:
- Ethan, with his aquamarine eyes and supernaturally seductive piano playing.
- Mordred, classically cruel, dark, and handsome, with a thing for black leather gloves.
- His entrancingly cute carrot-topped friend Adam, as sweet as Mordred is scary.
- Gunnar, with his rich, golden hair, and dastardly but delightful knack for getting his way.
- The experienced and fascinating Colin, with his exquisite latte-colored skin and exotic beauty.
- The eccentric but gorgeous Aidan, purveyor of ancient magic.
- Enigmatic Conner, with his deep, dark eyes and protective soul.

These undead charmers will win the hearts and minds of readers everywhere, and author Diana Laurence will be their expert guide.

With several girls including teenagers in the family and a number of great girlfriends who are single, Diana Laurence's timing couldn't be better. This is a great stocking filler and a fun present to buy for friends this year. The book is funny and irreverant and actually useful, as a lot of the 'dating advice' is practical and works. A great read and perfect for Christmas.

Vampires are definitely the bad boys of the moment, though when you stop to think about it, did they ever fall out of fashion? Lestat, Angel, Celine, Edward Cullen and Moonlight - vampires have always been sexy, dark and downright alluring.

Diana Laurence is on the ball with this tongue-in-cheek guide to dating a vampire. It covers the gamut of the dating experience from initial flirtation and pickup lines through to the secret of the red satin ribbon. Drawing on her 'personal experience', Laurence steers us mortals through the world of dating undead bloodsuckers in her step-by-step guide to loving the bad and the beautiful.

Entertaining and a little fluffy, this would be a great Christmas gift for the Twilight-besotted teeenager in your life.

Dating the Vampire 19 Mar 2012
Format:Paperback
So we've all read the books; we've all seen the movies and we can't wait for the next episode of True Blood to be on telly. Vampires are everywhere and thoroughly enjoyable in any shape or form. And we are, all of us, brushed up on the vampiric lore of just about any country in the world. We are experts for crying out loud. Why then is it that Bella Swan and Sookie Stackhouse, who blatantly have to google the term `vampire' in the first place, get to hang out with the cool guys? Where did it all go wrong? I mean if I was a vampire I go dating one of us lot rather than having to explain the whole undead lark first.
Do not despair. This finally is the self-help book we have been waiting for (and frankly the only one worth reading). Yes, the author does in all seriousness dissect the dos and don'ts of how to catch a vampire's interest and how to go about dating one of them. She'll give you all the tools to deal with your objecting friends and extended family. There are words of caution so you won't enter your vampiric relationship blue-eyed (nor exit it exsanguinated). Like any proper self-help book this one has case studies (read: personal experience anecdotes) and FAQs.
All of this comes in a package (with red satin ribbon) of tongue-in-cheek humour and light-hearted writing. Self-help has never been this much fun. I highly recommend you catch a copy of this.
