How to get a home in London and make a Profit!,

I discovered this DVD through a recommendation from the Royal Society of Architects. I thought that pretty much every way of developing a sight for profit let alone that dream factor, had been pretty much covered and sown up by the big boys. But wow what an eye opener and for an actor not a developer to do this off ideas he had picked up through part time jobs! Well I guess it just shows what we can all achieve if we put our mind to it. My only regret is that this DVD was not available when I rebuilt my own house, it could have saved me thousands in plumbing cost alone! But more then that opened me up to thinking about building in a totally different way. I thoroughly recommend this to any one refurbishing an existing house or more importantly wondering how to have their own Home in a world in which prices are spiralling out of control. No wonder Kevin McLoud got behind it!!

I was in two minds about buying this DVD as I already have copy of Grand Designs featuring this property. However, I'm really glad I did as I now realise how much more there was (of interest) than the original prog could ever cover. I don't envy the producers of Grand Designs having to choose what not to put in about a project which is innovative in so many subtle ways! Definite recommendation.

this was a great watch and i have recommended it to friends, not who are necessarily building their own place, but just the quirky way that Monty approaches everything makes an interesting watch. Particularly helpful to me were tips on how to present ideas to planners - what to look out for and how to present.
