(REAL NAME)   
Basically a good book - but it loses it's way after the forward! As a scientific tome the forward is excellent, but the main book quickly becomes bogged down in a vague historical recollection of "badland fossil hunting". This can best be described as padding. Personally, I would have wished for far more information on the possibilities presented in the forward - namely, that turning dormant genes on could resurrect long lost features. Good book - but a pity about the padding.
