5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for anyone interested in Hinduism, 27 Jul 2006
By Chris "seeker" (Bradford, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This is an excellent book, describing David Frawley's spiritual path to Hinduism. Not only does it give the philosophical ideas behind Hinduism, but also gives some flavour of the spiritual cahnges and feelings involved. I think this book was mainly written for Indian readers, to explain to them how David had found their traditions, and to show them how valuable the Hindu tradition is. For this reason a large part of one chapter describes how Christianity does not value all religions equally, which I think is self-evident to Westerners. For someone without much previous knowledge of Hinduism a glossary would have been useful, though the book is very readable and with occasional use of wikipedia even a novice like me can get a lot out of it.
