Simple and Enjoyable, 27 May 2009

I had no real expectations when I bought this CD,other than I really enjoyed Mr Pattinsons songs in the Twilight movie, so was hoping for more of that...
That wasn't what I got, but on the other hand, I did enjoy the CD as
a whole. Mr Pattinsons songs were clever, though at times it was hard
to really decipher his voice, it seemed like background for the guitar.
I liked the lyrics for Chokin' on the Dust, but I liked Doin'Fine better.
It was a little clearer.
I truly enjoyed many of the other songs, especially Clear Spot by Captain Beefheart and the Magic Band...pretty unique lyrics.
If your looking for a simple and enjoyable CD, you will not be disappointed. If
you are buying it to hear Robert Pattinson, and his "sound" now. You may not like it.

Can't wait for the movie!, 11 Jun 2009

I love this soundtrack. I skip over three tracks, two of them by Rollercoaster Project. Never heard of Joe Hastings before, but I love his arrangements and instrumentation. Simple, yet reflective of the story I imagine it to be -- haven't seen the movie yet -- given the dialogue provided throughout and the movie summaries online. Woe to anyone who expects to hear ROBERT PATTINSON singing on this CD; for it is definitely ART (the character with little talent) singing. Here's another side of Robert's acting skills and -- again -- I can't wait to see the movie. :)

If you liked the quirky movie you will love the soundtrack. It takes you throughout the movie with music. I find myself laughing or smiling when certain songs are played. The harmonica melodies are beautiful.
