The Mountie can sing,
By A Customer
This review is from: Two Houses (Audio CD)
Canadas Favourite mountie CAN SING ! Paul Gross, teams up with musician David Keeley, to come up with Two Houses, the album moves from a haunting undercurrent in 32 Down, to an upbeat attempt at AOR in Voodoo. All tracks are written and performed with a high degree of competence, and all in all lends to a very enjoyable release. Ideal, for sticking in the CD player opening a beer and relaxing Thank You Kindly Paul !

I was fortunate enough to find this recording in my home town after a long search. I can honestly say that there is a wide range of styles on this CD with songs like 32 down on the Robert McKenzie and Ride Forever. There's something for everyone! When's the next one Paul?

if you can find it, buy it,
By Jean (Pittsburgh, PA USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Two Houses (Audio CD)
Fast delivery to Pittsburgh, USA. UK CD plays perfectly. I looked in Amazon.co.UK because I heard this "Two Houses" CD with added featured track "32 Down" was only released in the UK. Hard to find this CD, but if you're a Paul Gross fan, you will like it. My favorite track is actually "After The War" sung on the CD by Paul Gross. It's the song that Sarah Slean sings over the end credits of the movie "Passchendaele." No doubt she's a better singer, but Paul Gross originally wrote the song from the male perspective and it has more emotional impact when he sings it. Other favorites are "Voodoo" (Gross) and "Desert and Rain" (sung by David Keeley), but I enjoy all 11 tracks.
