Format:VHS Tape
This is an utterly original film about an unusual, and wonderful woman, ( maybe aspergers), who looks after her two nieces, orphaned by the suicide of their mother, in such a disorganised and unconventional way that the neighbours begin to interfere, and what starts off as a portrait of dippy dreamy madcap difference becomes a picture of how dangerous it can be to be different, especially as a woman.

I heartily recommend this film. And if anyone knows where I could get hold of it please let me know!

A Lost Charmer 14 July 2011
Format:VHS Tape
I can only add my dismay to that of the other reviewers above, that such a charming and quirky film should disappear as it has. There are tens of thousands of films with much less to recommend them, that are still available, sometimes in more than one edition. Sigh!

I agree with everything the previous reviewers says. Why isn't this film available on DVD (let alone VHS)? It is Bill Forsyth's finest. A classic.
