Product Description

House (Hugh Laurie) and Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) explore the ramifications admitting they have feelings for each other and attempt to make a real relationship work. Meanwhile, due to a colleague's illness, Princeton Plainsboro is left without a neurosurgeon on site, threatening the hospital's accreditation as a Level 1 Trauma Center. As the team attempts treatment to get their sick colleague back to work, they discover there is more to the illness than they originally suspected and turn to House for direction. Instead, House remains elusive, leaving the team on its own in the season premiere episode of House.

3.0 out of 5 stars A pretty good season! 12 Jun 2011
Format:DVD
I am a big house fan, but I think the show is heading in the wrong direction. The earlier seasons were clever, intelligent and kept you guessing. This season you could work things out before they happened. I felt the love arc was poorly handled and I don't believe Cuddy would have acted that way. It wasn't like she didn't know what she was getting into. I felt the final episode was a bit silly. House is reckless, but he isn't stupid. Everything he does is a calculated gamble and I don't know if its because the show has new writers or what has changed, but I was left wanting more. Still it is a great show. I think the high standards of the earlier series is what I am after. I will happily watch season eight, but I think they could have done so much more with season seven. I think the character development of house's team was really good. Some of the cases were brilliant. There were one or two rather weird and wonderful episodes. Overall it was a pretty good season!

4.0 out of 5 stars HIGHS & LOWS 16 May 2012
By Mr. D. L. Rees TOP 500 REVIEWER VINE™ VOICE
Format:DVD
"A pain in the ass with a God complex." Succinctly Cuddy's mother sums up House. Season 7 is dominated by the House-Cuddy relationship, from passionate lovemaking to ever-increasing conflict.

23 episodes. At first the mood is noticeably lighter after the previous season's angst, but the humour does not always work and occasionally becomes silly. Gradually the mood darkens, the penultimate episode particularly grim.

Hugh Laurie's portrayal of House is one of television's joys, his timing impeccable. The character, though, is a monster. An egotistical bully, he rides roughshod over everybody in sight - allowed to get away with it because of his diagnostic skills and the pain in his leg.

Acting throughout is excellent, Martha Masters an interesting addition to the team of "Scary, Smalmy and Shorty" (House's description of the other three). How will she cope when so high principled and adverse to subterfuge? Especially likeable is longsuffering colleague Wilson, life dedicated to trying to limit House's excesses.

Much to admire. I liked the school episode (the children perceptive and hilarious) and was moved by the plight of Hadley ("Thirteen"). A pity, though, about certain OTT antics which cheapen the overall worth - that final outrageous act especially hard to stomach.

(By the way, a black mark for whoever designed the cases' back cover notes - the white print on yellow very hard to read.)

4.0 out of 5 stars skippy 14 Dec 2011

Always interesting from a medical point of view and Hugh Laurie is an excellent actor but I do not feel that this Season 7 is as good as the previous 1-6. It somehow seemed to go off the track with some odd characters being introduced.

House was a fantastic character and i enjoyed every season. I wondered in series 1 how they would drag it out for so long but they do, and they do it well. Definitely worth a watch

Good set that continued the series with some interesting twists along the way. Stands alone but better if you have seen the previous series.
