We're addicted to House so there'll be no criticism here. However I was surprised and disappointed that there were no sub-titles. Don't we cater for the deaf and hard of hearing anymore? Those sub-titles are out there somewhere so would it have been too much effort too slap them up?

House as a tv series is brilliant and this box set is sleek and quite cheap for all 5 seasons. The picture and sound quality is great, and overall, it would have got 5 stars if it weren't for the total lack of subtitles.

After catching just one or two episodes on Tv I was well and truly hooked. House is an amazingly written and performed Tv series and In my opinion the best medical one. It felt fresh and different. Over time the characters really started to emerge, showing unique and loving qualities that any Tv buff could become attached to.

The box set itself is nicely presented and looks good, with the slimmer cases it doesn't take up all the room in the work like other Box sets. While i can't deny it's lack of subtitles and DVD bonuses. I will defend the fact that If you select the "Play all" at the start then you do not have to watch the anti piratcy spot like others have claimed. At this cheap price I highly recommend this box set as it makes for some great entertainment.

As always 5/5 for amazons fast and reliable delivery service. I am a long timer user and will be for many years to come.

Dr House is indeed a very clever show that won't disappoint, a modern-day medical Sherlock Holmes. Unfortunately this product is badly produced. Very badly produced. The lack of subtitles. The very annoying and un-skippable anti-piracy spots after each episode (why do they punish people who actually buy their DVDs with this terrible afliction?). Avoid this set and wait till a better produced set comes out.

I'm German so please excuse my bad english.
I really love House, but this DVD box is the worst kind of tv DVD boxed set i have ever seen.

Season 1 - the picture is in 4:3 format, was filmed on real film in 1&:9 and shown on tv in 16:9! Why 4:3 on DVD?

After EVERY episode you must watch an anti piratcy spot! What the ****. I buy DVD's because i'm NOT a film pirat and don't want to watch this spot after every episode! And NO, you can't skip it!

Sorry amazon, but this DVD Box is going back.

That's why only 1 Star for this Boxed Set.
House as such earns 5 Stars of course.

House is a very inventive update of Sherlock Holmes, and Hugh Laurie does a surprisingly good American accent. So why the poor rating? Simply because I've never been so annoyed with a product I've bought. There's no way to disable to anti-piracy ads, and you get one (the same one) after EVERY episode. Oh, and it disables your dvd control so you can't skip them.

It's crap like this that drives honest consumers to download sites.

Having been oblivious to House until season 6, I became obsessed and immediately purchased this boxset. Compact and sleek, it has seasons 1-5. No extra bonus but the show is excellent, picture quality is top class. Highly recommended tv show.

+Pros: Very fast shipping, fantastic show..

-Cons: First of all this is a dvd set. So it should have some additional features like subtitles, posters, 16:9 display, DTS sound which individual dvd's or pre-released sets don't have. But no way it does not. Look at the other tv shows like Lost or Heroes, they did include everything what the audience would expect individually or as a set. House MD dvd sets are similar as Seinfeld series dvd set which was released early in 90s. It has a CD image and sound quality, not a DVD, if bought individually or as a set. So if you want to watch it, watch it on TV or online(i mean it, the quality is the same). But if you want to buy it wait for the blu-ray version. This isn't worth the money you should pay for..
