5.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming for every generation. 13 Feb 2004
Format:Paperback
I first read this book as a child and loved it then but have grown to love it even more as an adult. Now I can see the simple truths within the story which in our busy and "important" lives we forget. Truths such as: there are few things more important than being kind to ourselves (see Poo and his honey)and others; the things we fear most are usually not as bad as we think (see Heffalumps); and the people who the world considers to be unimportant and uneducated may actually know more than the experts. If you are considering buying this for a child please don't hesitate. Simple truth is an invaluable gift.

Finding an alternative viewpoint from which his inner self is projected Milne takes a sideways look at humanity and projects the future hopes and fears of a desparate society onto the shoulders of a brown bear.
