Format:Audio CD
I was not a fan of Winnie the Pooh. I found it hard to disassociate it from the horrible Disneyfication, but when a long car journey loomed, this was the only CD available and ploughing through fog and heavy rain, it amused not only the children, but me as well. Alan Bennett is great and repeated listens are not as irritating as expected. I'd wholeheartedly recommend it.

This audio CD was a big hit with my 5 year old daughter. It also amused two 30-something parents on a long car journey. It is beautifully read by Alan Bennett, who really brings the characters to life. There are 5 stories featuring, Winnie-the-Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, Tigger, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga, Roo and Christopher Robin. The running time is 1 hour 5 mins.
This CD is excellent value for money and one you and your children will want to listen to time and time again. If you like Pooh you'll love this.

Format:Audio CD
Alan Bennett struck gold with the audio book version of Winnie the Pooh and continues to mine the vein with The House at Pooh Corner. As before the accents are great and this volume has the advantage of having Tigger as a character - here the clear madness of the character comes through wonderfully in Bennett's voice. This recording also contains the story of the invention of Pooh Sticks - surely one of the simplest, yet most entertaining way to spend 10 minutes walking from one side of a bridge to another! The portrayal of Eeyore floating in the river in this story is wonderful.
As a story to listen to at home, in the car, in the garden - just about anywhere - this is hard to beat. Splendid stuff, with more real language content than a truck load of more modern material. I can't recommend this highly enough.

Another perfect cd for the whole family
This CD and it's predecessor, Winnie the Pooh, are our favourite audiobooks to listen to in the car. My husband and I enjoy them as much as our sons, aged 10, 8 and 4. Read more

Despite my 3 year old daughter's Tigger obsession, this second volume of stories didn't hit the spot in quite the same way as book One. Read more

Couldn't ask for better
If you want to enjoy Winnie the Pooh in any of the books, listen to them read by Alan Bennett. It's just a delight.
