This is a good coffee table book that you will dip in and out of if you're planning a new extension. The projects are interesting, explained well with good photography. What I feel sets this book slightly apart in this genre of house books, is that the projects detailed are probably more affordable than many designer house books, which in my opinion make its more enjoyable.

Utter disappointment! I was completely misled by the cover picture and by a positive review I've read and bitterly regretted my purchase. The majority of the houses pictured on the book are from abroad, thus, a different reality from ours. The ideas given by the book are completely over the top (far too modern) and not in keeping with the style of houses in this country. In other words, a waste of money.
