Book Description

A thousand years ago, something evil made a bold attempt to cross into this world. Now it's ready to try again. She's eternally young, lovely and lethal. Her cry for help is heard by a teenage boy in Bermuda. A confused orphan in Montreal. A political prisoner in Poland. A raging paraplegic on the Pacific coast. And a bloodthirsty psychopath in New York City. Each of them is lost, confused, alone. Too weak to resist her siren call.

They come cutting a path of carnage across the globe. And at last they meet. In a lonely mountain mansion. A place of unutterable evil. A place they are never meant to leave.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not your normal haunted house 15 Jun. 2011

The pulling and weaving of the different characters was interesting. Bridget makes a great villain. So does her assistant gaimes. My only complaint is once they get to the house I had anticipated more horror & gore. Otherwise it was a good book.
4.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable 30 Dec. 2013

The plot was interesting - a bit predictable in parts (the hard-bitten cop who comes to believe, the bookish parapsychologist), but quite different in others, such as the concept of the house in the middle of a cross.

One thing I've noticed - e-book editors don't seem to believe in proofreading, which I don't like, but the plot overcame this niggle.

As a woman in her late sixties, I don't have any friends who'd like to read this, but it's certainly never stopped me!
4.0 out of 5 stars definitely got to keep a mind on characters 4 Jun. 2013

at first i was like hmmm then i like it. It's a book you definitely have to pay attention to. the ending was a little sadistic. it was like reading short stories but its a novel...
3.0 out of 5 stars Great story, too many typos 10 Feb. 2013
By Tracy Harrison - Published on Amazon.com

I loved the story line. There were a lot of twists, but there were also a great deal of typos causing me to have to re-read sentences to figure out what it was supposed to say. That part was a bit disappointing for a book I had to pay for. If there wouldn't have been so many it would have been perfect.
