Soap making using melt and pour bases is not difficult, but if you have no idea where to start it might be worth spending the money on this kit, or buying it for a friend/relative. You get a nice range of moulds, items to add such as petals and leaves, a citrus fragrance and useful instructions. I certainly made some lovely soaps but now buy my base from a much cheaper source. It is not really a toy, more a craft kit, but any child over 8 or so would find it a very pleasant activity and they could make gifts for mum and dad.

I bought this box set for my husband for christmas even though it said is was a toy, it is not. I would not want my children playing with it. It has all that you need to start making your own soap and my husband was over the moon. Thank you.
