I recieved my kit very quickly which I liked..It was presented in a lovely box but I was a bit disappointed when I opened it up as it was a bit boring looking,but the shells and stones were very pretty&the glasses were the perfect size!!The wicks could have been more stronger with more wax around them as two broke when I added the hot wax around them.When the wax is heated up and you're pouring it in to the glass jars it sets very quickly in the saucepan you're using to heat up the wax so you have to put it over the heat ALOT of times,but when the wax is in the jars it doesnt set as quickly so when you're adding the stones&shells wait a few minutes before adding more on the top layer because if not they'll sink down on top of the lower stones and bulk together..It was tricky getting used to it but by the end I got the hang of it!!!The candles turned out fine.Enjoyed it very much. Not for children to do by themselves wax gets very hot and can be messy!!!

This kit was a present for our 7years old. As this involves hot wax, we diceded to do it 'as a family' and it was quite right - we needed three people in the end, one in charge of wax, one decorating and one holding the wicks!The wicks were weak, and there was no caution in the instruction that they will melt with the heat of the wax! Luckly six wicks were provided with this kit(to make four candles.) We found the wax was a bit tricky, needed to go back to the hobs so often - and messy. Definitely need a sheet of newspaper to protect the working surface. Although the wax gets bubbly, we somehow managed to scatter the shells & stones (or our 7years old could.) In the end we had a good fun as a family with lovely result. Four candles did not seem to be many to make at first, but with the heating wax process, we were quite satisfied that there were only four!

Was looking forward to making these gel candles just as a little something for myself to do.Shame 1 shell, 4 out of the 6 wicks were broken and a chip out of one of the glass holders. But as it was for myself didn't seem worth the hassle returning it. Great little kit but wouldn't reccommend due to their poorly designed packaging inside.
