This is what 80s horror films were all about, tongue in cheek gore with some decent scares and a good few laughs. The House series of films got me hooked on horror flicks from a young age and other than the Nightmare on Elm Street films remains the best series of it genre. It has taken me 5 years to find the films as individually they are not available and it was only by chance that I have found this box set.If you love 80s horror with a better than average script - these are for you.

These movies are cool I love the first one, the second one was too funny but also good and the third movie which had nothing to do with the previous...remains the goriest and visceral, there is no humour just horror. The 4th movie brings the series back on form with its horror blend with humour and cheesey yet inventive FX. God Bless Sean Cunningham for delivering something other than Jason.

Horror in the 80's you got to love it and house was one of my top horror films of that decade.From the very start of the film right to the end it never gives up and always has a suprise ready and waiting. Even though now this looks a bit dated and some of the SFX look more like something from spitting image you will end up loving this film like i did. House 2 was on the same princaple but it got more tounge in cheek the more the films went on, but still good in it's own way. House 3 well i was not a big fan of this one as it seemed to be going a little too far away from what the first one was but worth a look all the same. House 4, honestly i do not even remember this one and really not sure what this one is like. All in all you will be buying this for the first one mainly but you will be getting 4 films in one package and at the price it is, it is not too bad, i say dont be shy give it a try.
