I ordered this on 13/11/2009. Very pleased with my purchase as I suffer with lower back pain. Having used it continuously with no problems.
Unfortunately, yesterday I heated it and placed it against my back and had a very nasty shock when I realised that the inner had burst and scalded my back.
Having contacted Amazon about this they have arranged to send me a replacement, so I will see how long this one will last. If the same happens again, I shall have to revert back to the old faithful - hot water bottle again.

We got one of these from Amazon, 2 weeks ago. During the first use (which definitely worked in terms of hotness) my partner noticed a wet patch. It was leaking.....after less than one use. Can't fault Amazon they acknowledged this and sent a replacement within 48 hours. Popped replacement in microwave as per instructions, another wet patch. This time we hadn't technically used it. Amazon, again can't fault, gave us a refund......but told us to dispose of it so i'm guessing they know there is an issue. It appears that the inside section is splitting in the microwave, it's not fit for purpose. My partner not satisfied without one bought yet another yesterday this time from the chemist.......you'll never guess.....leaking. Unbelievable, surely a product fault...... no misuse......100% genuinely cared for but all 3 leaked......

I am very impressed with the hottie, I like the fact it looks like a hot water bottle. It is heated quickly and although at first I thought it wasn't very hot it seems to get more hot afterwards. It also retains it's heat very well.

I have found the quilted royal stewart hottie very good so far. I put it in the microwave for 1 minute for each side, 2 minutes in total. I use a towel (pre radiator warmed) and place the hottie under the towel and place in the position for my feet when lying in bed. This gives enough warmth for my feet and assists the sleeping process on winter nights. Also the comfort level lasts through the night.

Slight grumble the hottie rotates in the microwave while heating one way up, but turn it over and it sticks. The product is marginally too big.

Bought this for my parents and leaked within a couple of days. There is a big disclaimer in the packaging stating that if the bottle leaks it is the buyer's fault and no refunds will be given but they are looking at ways of improving the item. Caveat emptor indeed. Avoid until beta testing is finished.

After reading the review before I purchased this item, I was very careful to only heat it on the lowest rating, which meant it was only moderately warm but comforting However after a week it started to leak and the next time it leaked very badly. I then tried to stick duct tape round to stop it leaking but it still oozed through so I shall have to throw i out.
I consider the £20 it cost me (with postage) exhorbitant for a weeks use and will never again puchase this type of HWB. My old one was of a different type of filling I believe and lasted me for 10 years, so I couldn't believe this one was so badly made. They should not sell an item which iis obviously not up to the job.

I only got to use it for one night because it was too big to fit in my microwave and so the plastic starting melting & burning. Big disappointment. I think it's best to stick to the real hot water bottles.
