this is a reasonably good quality fire pit that doubles up as a bbq,
good points: the base structure is very good, the lid loos very stylish and the stainless steel surround handle looks good, the metal bbq grid is of very very good quality with a cleaver fold up section and accompanied handle -good design and good quality.
not so good: the legs are a bit basic in design but i am being picky, the stainless steel surround handle is ok but the welded tabs that fix it to the main fire pit are flimsy and i recon the welds will probably break off in time, the legs could be improves in design and better more confident welding wouldnt go a miss, there is no hole in the bottom for drainage.
finally i hasve been very picky, basically this is a very good fire pit and i would recomend it to anyone as the price is very resonable compared against the quality.

Overall this is a really nice fire pit which functions well as a BBQ. I'm happy with it so far and have only had complements about it from guests!
GOOD POINTS:
- Simple but classy design
- Easy to assemble (although no instructions provided)
- Very good quality grill. Liftable section is really useful so that you can still tend to the fire.
- Size big enough to feed plenty of people!
- Also lovely as a fire to sit around when the BBQ is finished with or without fire guard.
- Stainless steel rim stays cool enough to touch and therefore allows you to move the bowl while fire is burning.
BAD POINTS:
- No ventilation in place so fire can be difficult to start but is fine once established.
- No ash collector so you have to clean the entire bowl out (not many have ash trays though).
N.B. I would recommend buying some kind of rain cover unless you have an indoor storage space. The Hotspot one is expensive - any garden furniture cover will do.

This is a good piece of kit, we use it for fires out and about, and when camping. It is in its first season with us, so time will tell how it stands up to repeated usage... so far so good. The down side of it is that it collects water so having a fire on a damp day is hopeless... I have drilled drainage holes in the bottom and keep my fingers crossed for next time- may have to fashion a fire basket to lay in the bottom to raise the fire up a touch. Also, I thought it had an ash collecting tray underneath- it doesn't. The outside ring is good for children to rest skewers on when they are cooking bread and sausages.
