After having owned Hotpoint refrigeration units in the past I have to say what a terrible disappointment this product is. The build quality has gone down hill so far I'm truly surprised that Hotpoint would even have the nerve to try and sell such a piece of junk.
The internal shelves are now glass with tacky plastic edges that are sharp enough to cause cuts and grazes when reaching below them.
The temperature control dial is now located on the outside of the unit.
The internal light is not actually inside the fridge as such, it is situated just under the top rim and consequently does not illuminate the inside of the fridge adequately (especially not at night in a darkened room) - it isn't possible to see anything on the lower shelves or items at the back of the fridge without stooping or getting on to your knees.
The glass cover that sits on top of the salad basket at the bottom pulls out every time the salad basket is pulled forward.
Honestly, I cannot understand how Hotpoint even managed to get this unit past basic safety regulations.
