Overall excellent 13 Aug 2009
This machine does just what it's supposed to do, and does it well. It's quiet in operation, the controls are fairly simple (these days almost everything has too much functionality).

But there are two niggling little things which I don't like about it.

The first is that the lower plate rack holds the plates edgewise - so that one edge faces the front of the machine. That's fine for round plates, but with square plates they can slip out of position when moving the rack back or forwards.

Another annoying aspect is that if the top rack isn't pushed completely back before closing the door, it catches the powder dispenser.

Both these faults are relatively minor, and can be lived with, but they should also be easily forseeable when designing an item like this. And they could and should be rectified for future models.

But don't let these put you off. It's good value for money, well built, and efficient. I'd give it 4.8/5 if I could.

Bought this after lookig in Comet. Looks great and has a solid feel about it.

In use we couldn't fit wine glasess in top tray, bottom tray only takes our smallest dinner plates, tablet holder too small for 'all in one' style tablets. Our previous machine had no such issues.

The reliability problems started within 2 months. The pump started making a grinding noise and running unevenly. Then the machine would stop after 20 minutes instead of 1hr 45mins. Checked salt (full), filters (clean), water supply (no problems), and drains (clear).

First engineer agreed faulty but couldn't find source. Changed the pump 'in case that helps' and left. Worked for 1 load then spent over 5 hours on the next load before we pulled the plug!

Second engineer agreed faulty but couldn't find source. Changed the PCB 'its the only thing I can think of' and left. DID NOT EVEN COMPLETE THE FIRST WASH!

No luck getting a refund - retailer says 'we can keep on trying to repair it until it costs us too much'...

TOTALLY unhappy with product and service.

Retailer = COMET

DO NOT BUY 3 Aug 2011
Avoid this dishwasher like the plague. It doesn't hold anywhere near the place settings it advertises, I cannot put dinner plates in the bottom shelf upright only on a slant and my dinner plates are by no means big. The top shelf is laid out so badly that glasses will not stand up, large cups fall over. The whole dishwasher is a nightmare to load, having to keep spinning the washer arm around to make sure it doesn't touch anything. After the cycle is finished half the crockery inside is still dirty, sometimes the tablet is still inside the door which hasn't opened. I wish I'd never seen it, if I could afford it I would scrap it and go back to the Bosch I had before. 'Buy cheap buy twice' is correct.
