I wonder why no more of the 6 seasons have been released?.

What a great vehicle for all stars, both young and old!
Who appeared in Hotel.
Great and small! They were great!
Anne Baxter is heart warming as the hotel owner and takes charge of the screen.

This is a feel good drama from 1983, that lasted until 89.
Buy it, you wont' be sorry, so many really famous folk trudge through st gregorys.

I remember watching this series as a young child and it had a lovely feel good feel to it. The DVD is very enjoyable, I only wish more series were available.

It's nice to finally be able to watch this brilliant series, packed with familiar faces (Brolin, Sellecca) and loads of guest stars!
However, it's a shame there are no English (nor German) subtitles - just Dutch.
Therefore sorry, no more than three stars!

Looking like a 1970s escapee, with a marvellous Henry Mancini theme tune, this was actually made in the early 80s! I remember watching it then, another guilty pleasure alongside countless other slick, brash and faultlessly put together Aaron Spelling shows. At the time of writing, I am in week 4 (out of a probable 12) of complete inactivity due to foot surgery and, because of the pain-killers, I can't concentrate on anything much at present. I need eye-candy (hello James Brolin!) and something not too taxing: this fits the bill for at least some of the time. Plus, it's worth buying for Bette Davis's 'turn' in the first episode alone. Those eyes!

I remember hotel from over 30 years ago and sometimes a nostalgic trip down memory lane can lead to dissapointment but not with Hotel, ok it may appear a tad dated but hey its the 80's and i love it. This show is entertaining from start to finish something virtually unheard of in todays wasteland of talentless talent shows and unreal reality rubbish. Its typical Aaron Spelling: glitzy, glamorous, camp and too many guest stars to mention (sadly a lot of them no longer with us). Also like the fact that the dutch import discs have the Hotel logo on unlike the region 1 set which are plain. Get it and enjoy.

Really enjoyed this. I think that the BBC's Hotel Babylon is based on this idea. Different guests checking in each week with each having a backstory. Nicely done with happy endings but moral stories also. James Brolin so handsome and the lovely Connie Selleca. Very enjoyable viewing.
