I deliberately chose a natural rubber hot water bottle and this one was certainly made of rubber! When filled, the smell of the rubber was overpowering and caused me headaches. I was sure this must be temporary, but it wasn't. It still stinks and I can't use it. I went and bought a bigger rubber water bottle from my local pound shop and don't have the same problem with the fumes.
