al the usual evanovich stuff which makes for a fun read. many familar elements from her plum series, big slobbery dog, henchmen apearing out of nowhere and crazy characters (ransvestite lounge singer!!!!) not as good as plum but not bad

All the usual Evanovich ingredients are here - feisty heroine, wacky family who identify with their ethnic grouping, daft animal who doesn't eat a proper diet, an ex-cop, a transvestite lounge singer - yup, you can tell where the ideas for the Stephanie Plum books came from. However, the Plum books have an extra something that this lacks - it's okay, it trots along at a good pace, there are some nice moments of humour and tension, but overall, it's a weaker effort than other Evanovich books.

This book is what you expect Janet (and Co) to give you - fast moving story line, love, lady with an attitude, gorgous man and uaually a dog thrown in for good measure! can't wait for more in the series.
