About the Author
Paul was born in Plymouth and has loved food for as long as he can remember. When he was young Paul sailed around the world with his parents and so was introduced to an array of new and exciting cuisine from a very early age. He has also learnt how to create a meal in a tiny galley kitchen with very few ingredients and equipment. By the time he returned home Paul was hooked, and knew he wanted to work in the world of catering. Paul attended Plymouth catering college where he discovered a natural flair for cooking and as part of the coarse he spent time in a French catering college in the Jura Mountains in France. Paul loved France so much that he stayed there for three years learning about Mediterranean cooking, however Paul wanted to experience all areas of the catering industry this included working as a waiter at the House of Commons (in fact he was there working the night that Margret Thatcher got deposed). When satellite television was launched Paul was headhunted for a position in television food styling and work for a lot of the top chefs preparing the dishes for Here s One I Made Earlier Paul has worked on all the major shopping channels demonstrating pieces of kitchen equipment and cookery demonstrations around the UK, Europe and Australia. This is the second book in Paul Brodel's hot air frying books, however where as the first one covered the "Tefal ActiFry" this one tries to cover all types of air fryers. Unfortunately as there are at least two different types of air fryers the "Tefal Actifry" with a rotating paddle and fixed temperature and the "Philips Air Fryer" with variable temperature and a basket rather like those in a deep fat fryer trying to produce recipes for both is a compromise which does not always work well.
He attempts to make this work by using a fixed temperature 170 C for all of the recipes but does not take account that one has a rotating paddle for example the "hot pineapple with chocolate" although delicious would prove difficult with the "Tefal Actifry" as the rotating paddle does not allow the raisins to stay in the pineapple but it would work fine with the "Philips Air Fryer".
This aside it is a useful book small at 67 pages with 8 starters, 14 main courses and 9 desserts. It is lavishly illustrated and all of the recipes are easy to prepare with only two needing any prior cooking before using the air fryer.

In summary a good cookery book for air fryers but be careful if you are cooking one of the delicate items and have a "Tefal Actifry"

Bought this book in addition to the one included with the Tefal Actifry. It has lovely tempting photos of all the dishes. I decided to try the chicken with cashew nuts, but was disappointed with the outcome. It turned out very dry with no sauce at all, I did it to the exact recipe and time, but the chicken was also dry and in my opinion, seemed over cooked.

Good, healthy food
I bought this book because the only thing I was cooking in my Phillips Air Fryer was chips! I have only made the stroganoff so far, but it was easy and absolutely delicious.

best buy i ever made
this is one of the best buys i have ever made, it doesn't just cook chips to perfection but a whole lot of other wonderful low fat meals. wish i had discovered it a long time ago.

Recipe book for hot air fryer
I found the book very sparse and not very much in it , there was more in the book which accompanied the fryer so I returned this recipe book as I was not impressed with it
