having seen this in the shop and flicked through the long and the short of it is this isnt enough of a rework of the first one to justify the buy if you have the original already. But....this is a good thing - the recipes are brilliant, the instructions are clear and sequential, pages aren't lost to rubbish author nonsense, and everything is tasty. Lots of the stuff will stretch you but not so far you can't do it, and there's recipes of foreign food you have never even heard of. I love my copy of this book - not a celebrity chef in sight, but easily one of my top 5 ever cookery books - and I have, and use, lots of them.
