My new heat tray arrived promptly, very well packed and in perfect condition (no broken parts as someone previously experienced).
It has come in very handy over Christmas when both my ovens were in use. The 3 pyrex dishes are large and fairly shallow, quite unlike my traditional covered pyrex dishes. The dishes hold a good amount, a bit too big for just 2 people though. When used as a plate warmer, the plates should be put in before the warmer is switched on - takes about 20/30 mins to heat up. You will need oven gloves to remove as they become very hot. If you put the plates in after the warmer has heated up, they must be warmed first or may crack. The drop down door catch is a little temperamental, the only design fault I have found.
Take care where you place this server - use heat resistant placemats if used on quality furniture as heat is generated down below it - but fine if used on the kitchen work top. I bought this to replace a very old flat metal heat tray. It is far superior product and I am so please I made the purchase.

Just to say that the Hostess HO392SV cordon bleu side server has become an extremely welcome addition to my catering requirements. Unfortunately when the product arrived there was a distinct rattling coming from the box that told me that things were not at all in tact! In fact some of the pyrex dishes had shattered & obviously become useless, step in Neil. I contacted Neil after e,mailing euroelectricals on a mobile number supplied on the website & Neil came up trumps as my replacement dishes were with me within a few days. Top piece of kit & top service, thanks again Neil.

I am so glad, I bought this product as it was excellent to use and my guests were served hot food throughout the evening. I wish I had bought it much sooner. Having the HOSTESS enabled me to spend more time with my guests and not worry about serving cold food to my guests.
I would definately recommend this item to everyone who does a lot of entertaining.

Hostess with the mostest
A well made product that is very useful. The unit heats up quickly and keeps food warm without spoiling. It helps if you pre-warm the dishes with boiling water prior to each use. Read more
