Product Description

PART I: Presented by Quentin Tarantino (Kill Bill, Vol. 1 & 2) and directed by Eli Roth (Cabin Fever), Hostel is a shocking and relentless film in the tradition of Saw about two American backpackers (Jay Hernandez, Friday Night Lights and Derek Richardson, Dumb and Dumberer) in Europe who find themselves lured in as victims of a murder-for-profit business. PART II: Presented by Quentin Tarantino and written and directed by Eli Roth, The second installment to this terrifying franchise centers around three young American women (Lauren German, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre) (Bijou Phillips, Bully), and (Heather Matarazzo, Welcome to the Dollhouse) who are studying in Rome.   PART III: Hostel: Part 3 brings the underground world of the notorious Elite Hunting Club to “Sin City”, where human torture has been turned into a high stakes gambling opportunity.

4.0 out of 5 stars JUST WATCH TWO...! 10 Mar 2012
Quentin Tarantino produced the first two, which are STUNNING!

Unfortunately, he didn't produce the third and it shows.

An intrigueing and masterful story of European horror is turned into a cliched "violent romp" around Las Vegas, with good guys, bad guys and RANDOM twists; just like any "10 a penny" cheap teen horror flick.

"Yeah, its an 'ultra violent' GAME SHOW in LAS VEGAS"
Where have I heard that before?
But the 'ultra violence' extends to a pathetic "Death by Bush Tucker Trial".

Need I say more?

COME BACK QUENTIN. A potentially great franchise is dead without you!

Seen them all loads of times but decided I needed them on dvd so bought this, parts 1 and 2 are two of my favourite movies, I also love part 3 but feel they went slightly over dramatic still liked it though, also I really love Eli Roth's work and was disappointed by the face he didn't direct/produce part 3.

If you liked Hostel, you will want this box set in your collection.

I still think the first was the best (as it is for most movies)

Great collection for horror fans. Like most horror series films the follow up films do not match up to the last one. This may be the case with Hostel. Never the less still a great series of DVD's.

What a fantastic film, you know its good when you feel a bit on edge, what made it more sinister, I think these things happen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Could it happen to you? 4 Sep 2013

I didn't really realise how much horror is on TV until I worked out what films I'd ended up watching late night. Hostel was one I saw bits of, then finally got to see all the way through.

The first film is about a Hostel in Slovakia where people are abducted and sold off to be tortured by people as nasty as they are rich. There is a fair amount of gore, but essentially it is a gripping storyline of being abducted and the fear instilled, exploring human nature and what we all hope isn't in us.

The first features the great song by Team "Drzim Ti Miesto" which you can get off mp3downloads and I strongly recommend.

The second film revisits the first location, except three young females. It covers much the same ground, not as good as the first but still has its merits.

The third film seems to hang on to the first and indeed second, and it is not a surprise none followed. It has a somewhat convaluted plot and makes a hash of attempted twists, if you liked the first then buy all three, or just buy the first and "Drizm Ti Miesto"
