Large part of our knowledge regarding the Britannic comes from the constant research of her current owner: Simon Mills. It's incredible how much information was waiting to be found in the various British archives and on the ocean floor of the Aegean Sea.
His first book "Britannic - The last titan" introduced the Britannic to the great public and became also very popular among the members of the Titanic community, whose quest for new information regarding the three Olympic-class liners (Olympic,Titanic,Britannic) seems endless.
This book goes one step beyond, introducing material previously available only to very experienced maritime historians. The fold-out section contains two very detailed rigging plans of the ship (both RMS and HMHS versions). There are also several colour photos of the wreck from the 1995 expedition, a detailed illustration of the sinking, biographies of crew memebers and many previously unpublished photos. The Appendix includes the complete text from the three official reports into the loss of the ship and plans of the motor lifeboats.
If you decide to go for the full-story don't miss it.
