This is a first publication for the author Kaliana Cole and a really good start. The book has a strong story and engaging characters but it falls apart with the dialogue, hence the loss of a star. I really don't think cowboys or indeed cowgirls/horse breeders talk in the stilted manner that is used - 'It has been a long time since breakfast.' As Jade, the heroine, is certainly no Lady Mary I think she would have used a contraction and said 'It's been.....' This theme carried on throughout the story with occasional glimpses of more flowing language when the author forgot (or found) herself. It became so irritating that I found myself reading 'I'll have a beer, thanks. I think I have earned one today.' and changing the second sentence as I read in an effort to make it feel more natural.
That said I will look out for more from this lady and hope that her publishers will help her smooth out her dialogue style.

Having read other books with mmm/f options I was expecting the usual instant attraction followed by a lot of menage sex. A small hurdle to overcome leading to a HEA of some sort with at least one or more of the guys.

Instead I actually got a romance. Yes there is more than one guy involved and yes they did dive into some action pretty fast, but then they also had a relationship and some open communication leading to the HEA. I was surprised. This book has substance not just sex. The men whilst sexy as hell in their own individual ways, were more than just naked hotties and their leading lady had issues that they discussed to overcome.

The descriptions and depictions of the horses were great that even as a non horse person I could see them. Some of the more technical "working" of the horses descriptions I didn't understand but it struck me as being genuine stemming either from a solid knowledge base or some solid research.

My only criticism was that I never had a solid head to toe description of any of the characters in any one go or at least not that stood out. It was as if because the characters already knew each other we got the changes noticed and not the "just met" once over.

All in all an entertaining read. I will look for more books by this author.

Good story and interesting characters. Hot bodied men, you can sink your teeth into, good horses, you wish you could ride and fast cars & strongs vibes that dampen your panties.

Wow!!! I loved this book! So hard to believe it's a debut.
The whole premise was so believable, so grounded in reality for a menage. And the sex was hot! And the men, all three were so different and so richly develpoed as characters. And the sex was hot. Alpha Nate, dark dominant Brett and big hearted, big bodied Matt. Jade's trials and triumphs made me laugh and made me cry, and talk about a panty-wetter!
Did I mention the sex was hot?
