Format:Audio CD
Another band that I heard about from reading the booklets from other CD's. Stylelistically more like the sounds of Carcass, these guys seem to have been a big influencs on bands like Mortician, as they use clips from films at the start (and sometimes the end) of their songs. The lyrics can either be very silly like the ones in 'I work for the Streetcleaner', but also strnagely poetic like 'Boneyard', while 'Breakfast At The Manchester Morgue' has both funny, and poetic lyrics. The clips are on the whole very funny, the start one being about some serial killer type guy, and including ones about cannibals in the jungle, and some guy who left his girlfriend rotting in his house for 10 days. The bast one is the guy from some film saying that he "Just hates people" and things like that.
The music reminds a lot of Carcass, with fast and slow parts, and the guitar tone is quite similar. The vocals are not as low as Bill Steers, and there is a good impression of Karl Walker at times too.
One of the first bands to properly be goregrind, a genre with loads of bands in it now...

This is one of the best GOREY DEATH METAL albums I own!!! one of the best in this gerne as well!!MILES AHEAD OF THE REST!!! A TRUE PIONER!! LIKE POST MORTEM(US BAND)WHO HAD INFLUENCE ON IMPETIGO!!!

This was also the best thing this band ever did..they really matured here..then of course BROKE UP right after this!! such is the case with many a GREAT band!!

Also this is one of the most INFLUENTIAL albums in this gerne..just check out the tribute album to these guys!! and check ou tLORD GORE'S version of ''THE MANCHESTER MORGUE'' they did it justice!!

I CANT STRESS HOW AMAZING THIS IS!!! WHEN EVER I THINK OF THIS I THINK OF A BIG PILE OF GUTS OR SOMETHING..ITS JUST A GOOEY, STICKY ALBUM THAT WILL MAKE YOU SICK!!

NEVER BE AFRAID TO PLAY SLOOOOOOOWWWW!!

''I WORK FOR THE STREET CLEANER''
