I almost didn't buy this because of an earlier review complaining about the menu navigation. I'm not sure if it's been updated now, but I had no problem playing any or all of this wonderful recording. The sound quality isn't great, but to be expected of a live recording of that age. Some great snippets of Horowitz meeting his family - very moving stuff. Highly recommend this DVD.

For any fan of Horowitz this is a must have DVD, with a masterful performance of Scarlatti, Rachmaninoff, Chopin, et al. Horowitz's return to Russia was of great importance to him - shame the same can't be said of the DVD navigation. Unfortunately, there's no way to navigate to the second half of the performance - we only get a menu to the first half! I mean, do me a favour! (You have to go to the Chapters menu on your player to get the rest of it, I discovered). However, the production is good and the sound crystal clear. So a resounding five stars for the Master and a generous no stars for whoever f'd up adding the menus.

this was a gift to a wonderful lady that had lent her dusty old video of the recording on TV. She was delighted and I hope this was a stunning replacement and that the lady who borrowed the first one and did not return it does not borrow this one! Glad to find it here thank you AMAZON!
