Purchased for use with Hornby live steam locomotives. These are difficult to control and the rolling road allows driving skills to be acquired in a safe way without danger of damage to expensive items of equipment. Using the road also means that loco's can be run in confined spaces where it is not possible to set up a track or where a permanent layout is not possible. Recommended

I already had a rolling road, but saw this in a model shop and was impressed. Having received it and used it to program DCC locos, I am still impressed with the build quality. Such a shame that Hornby only supply 3 rollers and the extras are so expensive.

Easy to use rolling road
Simple to set up and a boon for running in new locomotives or bedding in the gear boxes of self built models. Excellent.
