This model is part of the Hornby Raulroad range so it's plasticky and not very detailed. However it's perfect for kids and for experimenting on. It comes with 6 removeable plastic cars which fit perfectly. But, I've upgraded it by putting on Oxford diecast models and it looks a lot better. As a result, the cars will most likely be in a model scrapyard. After that, it looked great being pulled by my new Hornby class 56 (also worth buying)
