You would be better off cleaning the track with the box this item came in. Hates points or any change of direction. Spends more time derailed. Better off with track cleaning rubber

Hornby R296 Track Cleaning 00 Gauge Coach Rolling Stock makes ccleaning track even easier juut connect carriage to mdiddle of rolling stock and run train set as normal cleans the track while in use(remember change the fine emery regularly to keep up maximine cleaning),looks good, great price 10/10

This is a very helpful product. It cleans the track with strips and does a pretty good job (though not as good as a track rubber) It has to be pushed and it needs quite powerful engine to push it(no little tank engines) However, it's alot more realistic and it cleans the track a lot cleaner. I haven't tried it going from one track to another via points but I'd probably use a track rubber for that. The problems are that it looks a bit odd being pushed round as there isn't any other coaches of the same product and you can't use it when there isn't a layout set up.
In conclusion this is very useful and is best used along with a track rubber as then you can clean pieces of track that haven't been properly cleaned.
