Devoid of easily damaged detail parts, the suitably livered RailRoad locomotives are fitted with efficient drive mechanisms and have pickups on all drive wheels ensuring smooth running. All the RailRoad models are fitted with the standard Hornby hook and bar type couplings and will therefore easily couple to those locomotives and rolling stock in both the standard Hornby and Thomas & Friends ranges.

It is not for very young children of coarse. It is very good value and arrived on time, worked out of the box on analog, I fitted a DCC encoder in this loco with no problems, great looking loco and you also get two figures that fit in the the cab.

i every nice engine for my sons layout,
I specifically chose this class of loco because if it broke, the repair of it i.e. fitting a new motor would be very easy and uncomplicated.
however, please do watch with these locos, they may need running on the track for a bit to ween them in and they may need some extra lubrication - i know the one i bought needed a few extra drops of 1 in 3 oil.
but im happy with this loco - great value in the end
