Product Description

Evil has many faces—unfortunately, Rayla Tate has seen them all, or so she thinks. Since she learned she was an Elemental, she has been hunted for her power. But Rayla hasn’t met her greatest foe; she hasn’t seen true evil…yet.
Rayla betrayed her bondmate to be with the man she loves. Now that she has Heath at her side, she is ready to face the fae council and move on with her life. Too bad Zach has other ideas. He’s not about to give Rayla up just because his sister got in the way. He will find Rayla and prove to her that he is the man she is meant to be with, even if he has to face the monsters of the dark realms to do it.
Despite her growing feelings for Heath, with every passing day her body gives in to her bond with Zach. Rayla must leave the dark realms or risk losing control of her mind and ultimately her power. Once back in Lombarda, she discovers a secret about her origins that could shake the foundations of the world, both fae and human. There is more at stake than who she is bound to. The Order and the fae both want control of the same thing, and this time it is not her.
Rayla must unite with unlikely allies to destroy the evil plaguing Faeresia. For if she refuses, she will succumb to a compulsion she never could have anticipated and plunge the world and those she loves into darkness or utter oblivion.

Once again Christie doesn't disappoint you. The last book is great, all the questions answered although I was a bit annoyed by Ryala and her not trusting anyone!!!! A series to must read. Great just great!

4.0 out of 5 stars What's Next 20 July 2013

It seemed to finish too soon. Felt almost as if the Author had, had enough of the story. I think the ending could have been a little stronger but otherwise it was a good and easy read. Looking forward to the next from this author.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fitting finale! 18 Mar 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
In "Horizon," the fourth--and final--installment of her "Elemental Enmity" series, author Christie Rich brings events to a most satisfying conclusion ... but not before she subjects Rayla, and her readers, to another million or so (I'm exaggerating, but only a little) of her trademark twists and turns ...

From the book's opening chapter, readers who believed that Rayla had finally decided her destiny at the conclusion of "Genesis" are immediately separated from such foolish notions. The poor girl still has a long road ahead of her. Along the way, she spends a "moment of feeling like the biggest douche ever," and continues learning new insights and wisdom, such as "careful is for beggars and bastards."

Is there an HEA in Rayla's future or do the lustful lords abandon all hopes of exclusivity and draft a timeshare plan? You'll have to read "Horizon" to find out, but I promise you won't be disappointed. And, for those who hate to see a good thing end, I urge you to look at "Horizon" not as an end, but rather a beginning ... the beginning of Rich's next thrilling novel.

I highly recommend "Horizon" to YA, PNR, and fantasy fans.

2.0 out of 5 stars please use spellcheck... 13 Nov 2013

these books are quite fun - Rayla is typically annoying, self obsessed and self righteous, but still, lightweight, fantasy fun.
Oh, but if the author would PLEASE learn to use a dictionary, spell check and grammar check... the constant mis-spellings, words used out of context ('courtesan' means something quite different to 'courtier' ... really) and awful grammar does make them quite painful to read.

5.0 out of 5 stars LOVED it. A Must Read Series (need to read them all for sure) 14 May 2013

Wow, not sure what to say, just wow, what a journey this series has taken me on. This series actually left me with a book hangover in a way. I needed more of this world, and more of Heath, lol. Wow, just love that guy.

This last book in the series (at least I think it is) really was the best, although they all build up to this one, so really, to me it was like one giant book, lol. I absolutely loved it, loved the ending, and was happy for the most part, but was not expecting a lot of what did happen to happen.

I have trouble writing this review, because I do not want to spoil anything for anyone, especially if you had not read the previous books.
I am not going to tell you anything about he story, you can get the gist of it from the summary, and like I mentioned, don't want to spoil some of these amazing twist and turns.

We do get a lot of the questions answered, and can see that this could be the last book. But to me, it could go on, as there is always something more that can happen.

I would give many more stars if there were any, lol, Let's just say, Max stars no matter where it is posted, lol

Great writing, and great story. I highly recommend it.

I only dislike one thing, and that's the cover, it poorly done, if you look, the girl is UNDER the wing of the Pegasus, just not possible, so, I have issues with that, I am a person who loves great covers, and the cover is actually what draws me to a book, so this is a big flaw to me. BUT the story is amazing, just wish the cover would have been done better (meaning the flaw in the wings and girl done wrong.

This book was given to me by the author for my honest review.

Check out my blog and especially the post for book one, Five as there is a great dream cast there. My link is in my profile.

I couldn't put this one down. I want more. This was one of the best ones she has put out. It is a must read. Do not hesitate to purchase it. You will be greatly rewarded. Rich has a great talent. The twist and turns were worth reading, the ending leaves hope. What more could a reader ask for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Couldn't Put It Down! 15 Oct 2013

Short Summary-- Every since she found out she is an Elemental, Rayla has been stalked by the sexy men of the Fae. However, she refuses to fall for any of their charms and enchantments until she is certain her powers will be honored by someone who will actually love and respect her as a bond mate. She is determined to do what is right for the people around her, while she maintains her individuality from the traditions of their world.

My Review: Obsession doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about this series. Christie Rich is an author I randomly discovered on Amazon, and I'm so glad I did.
I was skeptical of the Fae men and their desire for the human in this series. The fact that they are all fighting over her, attempting to win her over, and their lust that follows didn't win me over at first. However, after I was introduced to each male character, as Rayla spends time with them, her emotions and feelings toward them became my own.

These books are written in Rayla's perspective for the most part, which makes it really easy to follow her thoughts and emotions as she struggles to make the decision to pick only one of these handsome men to bond with. And if I may say so, I do believe she made the right decision. Rayla's independent attitude makes her a badass character, who plays really hard to get. You all know I love a strong female character!

I hated that this book had to end, and I'm secretly hoping that it's not the end of Rayla's adventures. This is a series that I haven't been able to put down.

I bought this book for my own enjoyment, and I believe the first one is free on Amazon. You can read this review and others on my book review blog: arobook.wordpress.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved this series, captivating and a real page turner. 4 Mar 2013

This series is so refreshing after reading the usual formula driven books. After dealing with the five Fae Lords who pursued her in the beginning, Rayla has made the choice in her heart and picked Heath although she is still bonded to Zach. Evil is at work in the Fae and Mortal Realms, Rayla must discover how to control her gift lest she risks losing her freedom and ultimately the power to choose her own mate. Plenty of action in this book, lots of tender moments and redemption for some of those that have wronged her. Old enemies become allies and Rayla needs to trust in her feelings if she has any hope of fighting that age old war of "Good versus Evil." With an ending that surprised me, I felt it stayed true to who Rayla is and tied up all the loose threads quite nicely. An entertaining read and I can't wait to read her next series.
