I agree with most of the reviewers' comments regarding this set of screen protectors, which I think is the only one so far to include one for the whole of the 3DS upper screen. The mode of application is generally very efficient and an advance on most other screen protector application methods. The video is also very helpful and I downloaded and viewed it during application. The top screen protector does show a slight purple overlay around the black edges, but I didn't find this a problem at all in use and the screen view is crystal clear. It's good to feel the important upper screen has full protection.
However, I did find some problems in use with the lower touch screen protector. Before this Hori set arrived, I had temporarily applied a cheap one to protect my touch screen which gave me no problems. I removed the temporary one and applied the new one, but found in my case that the Hori protector reduced screen sensitivity in some game actions. Most gamers may find no problems as it works quite well for many touch actions, but I am presently playing Nintendogs and Cats and I found that it reduced responsiveness so much in "throwing" the frisbee on occasions that it made that aspect of the game almost unplayable. I did wonder if I had damaged my screen somehow while fixing the Hori protector so I removed it, and as I had an unused set of DSi screen protectors available I cut that down neatly and applied it. It worked fine, just as it should - relief!
Maybe my Hori protector was somehow faulty from manufacture, but I certainly found it functioned very differently from the other two I have used, and hope Hori will improve it's sensitivity if my experience proves to be a general problem. I would have given this product top marks, apart from this problem. So in balance for the moment, only three stars.
