This was my first introduction to this author and I just couldn't believe it was her first book. Although there were a couple of things which I did question and a major aspect I didn't feel was answered/resolved/explained regarding certain deaths, despite this, I still found this an extremely good book and I couldn't give it less than 5*s.
Hope seeks counselling sessions initially, it becomes apparent, following three months imprisonment after being duped by a close friend and her boyfriend - she hopes she can forgive and move on with her life. There then follows one shock revelation after another as the chapters unfold in counselling sessions and events which happen in between these sessions.
The plot has many facets, which I feel only a talented writer could pull together, and as the counselling sessions progress even Hope is faced with surprises. I found it an absolute roller coaster ride, one I found really difficult to get off, reading late into the night. This book is an absolute page turner, I just couldn't put it down. It kept me hooked from start to finish, not a short book, but one I finished easily within a couple of days. Highly recommend!
