Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
What a great little vacuum! We have been using this Freespace Evo Pets Hoover for the last week or so and it has now totally replaced our existing "bag-less" cylinder upright vac. It is small, light and consequently very manoeuvrable; lifting a larger machine up and down the stairs is no longer an issue. Also, it is very powerful and not overly noisy; there is a noticeable difference with our carpets now cleaner. There is also a variable suction power, which you can manually adjust; it does a great job even when it is not on full power!

The problem I have found with uprights is that you have to manoeuvre the whole machine around the room which makes it hard to get into all the corners, unless you are quite strong. There are no problems with stairs with this TFV2015 offering, as the long extendible hose readily stretches, and together with the light brush/head it makes very quick work of the task required. As a bonus, the crevice tool and dusting brush (but not the turbo brush) neatly fix onto the vacuum, the cable retracts completely, and the hose, with the main head attached, also clips to the vacuum so that it can all be neatly stored away.

It comes with 8 non-reusable bags, which I do not think will last the full year that it claims, which is my only criticism, but nevertheless, overall, it is still a very easy recommendation.

Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
Hoover's TFV2015 is one of those vacuum cleaners that doesn't try to reinvent the wheel or put design over functionality but just delivers a decent cylinder machine that gets the job done well. It has the disadvantages of a typical cylinder machine - sometimes the main unit just doesn't want to follow you around the room as smoothly as it should, you have to bend over to use the controls and there's the awkward need to buy replacement bags after a couple of cleans - but these are offset by the advantages. First, and most important, it picks up well, managing dog hairs and corners effectively and having a decent range of adjustable suction settings so that you don't end up pulling part of the carpet along with the dirt. The telescopic extension tube is adjustable and, just as important, stays rigid, so you won't find yourself losing your balance when it comes undone while you're using it. It also has a decent sized cord, which is particularly useful with staircases (it's surprising how many modern vacuums opt for a shorter lead, which means constantly changing power points when you move out of a room), especially since it comes with auto rewind. It's also surprisingly compact when not in use as well, making it an ideal cleaner for flats or apartments, though the replacement bag issue makes it perhaps less ideal than a bag-less cleaner for the larger house. But on its own terms this is a decent performer that does the job just as effectively as some more expensive models and is much more user friendly than many.

Amazon Vine™ Review (What's this?)
The main advantage of this vacuum cleaner is its compact form. It has a powerful motor and therefore offers full-size cleaning power in a machine which you could store in an under the worktop cupboard. Straight out-of-the-box it is very easy to put together, and I liked the fact that the pipe is made of lightweight metal rather than plastic. At around 4 kg, it is easy to pick up, and the wheels swivel in all directions, making it highly maneuverable.

The main disadvantage of the machine in day to day use is the quality of the tool attachments supplied. The main head works reasonably well on hard floors but on carpet with anything but the shortest pile, I found that it tended to stick. The plastic used for the tools does not seem to be of particularly high grade and I would have to question the longevity of the tools generally. Much is made of the turbo attachment which is effective in picking up animal hair. However, it is small, and if you had to vacuum anything other than a small area, it could be very time-consuming. I found that this tool was particularly effective in cleaning the stair carpet, which has never looked better!

The variable suction power and the off switch are combined into one rotating switch which can be easily operated with a foot. However, I found when set to the highest power it emitted a high pitched noise which was most unpleasant. When the power was turned down slightly this disappeared, and it could be that it is just temporary feature. The primary disadvantage of this model, I think, is that the machine uses fairly small bags. Eight are supplied with the machine, which is supposed to be enough to last year. I did look up the cost of replacement bags - they look fairly expensive.

In summary, if you are after a compact, lightweight machine, which offers a reasonable performance for a reasonable price, then I think this Hoover could well satisfy your needs. However, the quality of the attachments left something to be desired, and the overall experience of using the machine was a little disappointing. The noise emitted at full power was very loud and very annoying. This, coupled with the fact that it is a bagged machine will limit its appeal.
