WOW! This genuinely is great fun! Completely lacks the frustration and fury of beginning a new type of programme/fitness method. You will drop the hoop, same as you fell over when you were first learing to walk, but somehow it just doesn't matter. It is addictive and before you know it you will get going. It will certainly puff you out at first - I can see why it burns so many calories!
I bought it because I think my lower back and pelvis have been stuck in some really bad posture habits, and lack flexibility. I'm trying to learn bellydance, and it struck me hooping would help loosen me up. It certainly does help and I'm sure I'm getting much more out of it than just that. I'm doing hooping now for it's own sake, not just as an accompaniment to bellydance. It has so many benefits throughout the whole body.
I'm by no means good at it yet,but I'm enjoying it enough that I keep going back to it. I see it as a fun thing to pick up, not an enemy to be conquered!
