In this DVD, Peachysteve takes us through from the very basics of hooping to advanced moves. He gives a thorough understanding of how to achieve each new move and trick, reducing the complex and seemingly difficult to easily achievable.
Learning from Peachysteve is fast, effective, and right.
It is strange to watch a DVD with no spoken words, though it works extremely well and I now wish that more instructional DVDs followed this model.
The captions are very easy to follow, and to me are much easier to take in than spoken instructions.
The background music is pretty good, and doesn't annoy like so much other background music does.
Peachysteve himself is a great advert for hooping; he has a very well toned body, and having met him in person, came away with the impression that he was very healthy with a high level of fitness.
I've been hooping for a few months now; I feel healthier, and my midriff is well on it's way to being toned, (if I'm honest that's why I was tempted to try hooping).
That said, it's actually quite fun, and unlike most other effective exercise, it doesn't feel like a chore.
Aside from this DVD, I can also recommend Peachysteve as a custom hoop maker. I don't particularly want to come across as his own personal advertising agency, but without a hoop that suits my size and weight, I suspect I'd have given up on hooping by now.
Living close to him; I was able to visit and try out various sizes and weights before ordering one, which was then custom made in colours of my choice, to a high standard, and for a very reasonable price. Googling his name brings up his website, and he sells them on eBay too.
