Not a bad read 10 Jan 2002
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
I enjoyed Perrymans angle on the hooligan problem which on recent events over the last few days is very prominent but the book was spoiled for me some what by the inclusion of dougie Brimsons never ending waffle, about how he would do this or do that, put a sock in it he spoiled a good read.

Interesting to re-visit the debate now the image of English Fans abroad, and indeed the level of Hooliganism in our own grounds has changed.

Although 10 years on we should not be complacent, much of the book does seem to talk of a problem which newer Football Fans will never have had first hand evidence of.....and long may that continue.

Euro 2012 however will present it's own 'challenges', so a look back at (and an appreciation of the progress made since) the problems in Marseille and Charleroi/Brussels is a timely reminder. Let's pray that other Countries have been as successful at eradicating their own version of the 'English Disease' as we have ourselves, or next summer in Poland and Ukraine could see a return to darker days for Football Fans everywhere.

Great book, small font 21 April 2011
By Chris
Format:Paperback
The book itself contains a very detailed and realistic insight into football hooliganism as a whole, mentioning the past present and possible future solutions to removing hooliganism from the beautiful game. The books content is superb, however the font in this edition is very very small, which could prove an obstacle for those with vision impareness.
