Product Description

Sean Bean (Game of Thrones, The Lord of the Rings series) presents one of the hardest hitting films on football violence ever made. Starring some of the football firm s most feared and notorious figures and former Millwall hard man Tamer Hassan (Dead Man Running, Bonded By Blood) , Hooligan is the real story of football violence told with shocking honesty. With footage of the worst hooliganism ever seen in the UK and abroad and revealing stories from ex-hooligans, the police and football authorities, director Donal Macintyre (the reporter behind the ground-breaking undercover TV programme Chelsea Headhunters) gets into the world of the football firms like never before, capturing all the fear, violence and mayhem they bring.

Product Description

Investigative journalist Donal MacIntyre directs this documentary examining how football hooliganism, once a very British disease, has gone global. With football violence having been brought successfully under control in Britain since its heyday in the 1970s and 1980s, there has recently been a worrying rise in violence in Europe, South America, and the United States. In graphic detail this film charts the history of hooliganism both home and abroad, examines the motivation behind those involved, and asks what does the future hold for the hooligan

1.0 out of 5 stars Dont waste your money 11 Sep 2012
Format:DVD
This whole DVD is made up of clips taken from youtube peppered with a few interviews with people with no credibility. A nerd who says hooligans are all "bullies and scum", Dougie Brimson an author who lies he was once a hooligan in the "watford firm"?? And Sean Bean who jumps from one minute pretending to be a lad and love the trouble to other moments where he condemns those involved as idiots. Donals obsession with Jason mariner plays a big part and he describes him as "the main man" which clearly he is not. Hes an idiot who allowed himself to be stitched by a bad journalist. Avoid this like the plague. Every clip will have been seen by you on youtube there is no new material. Tamer hussain talks but he admits hes not a hooligan so his input is not really relevant. Keep your money

1.0 out of 5 stars What a rip off 23 Sep 2012

Billed as a film. This is not a film, just a lot of poor quality documentary clips and interviews with no marks. This should be banned under the Trades Description Act. Sorry I paid money for this rubbish.

1.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Rubbish 19 Dec 2012
By P. Waller VINE VOICE
Format:DVD
Sadly you have to tick at least one star but it is not even worth that. As other reviewers have said all is available on U Tube or other sites and a lot has been in TV documentaries. A commentary by Sean Bean attempting to sound sound like Ray Winstone in being a 'toughie' and unable to get through a sentence without using the F word. Utter dross.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing new .... 9 Sep 2012
By psm83
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Ordered this as I thought it would bring something new however this was basically just a joke - thrown together with some internet clips and a few guys talking in dodgy accents.

This will end up in the bargain bins and clearance piles after a couple of months probably about 2 or 3 quid tops for this
